We are incredibly lucky with the variety, quantity and beauty of the birds that visit our garden. Our most beautiful are the Red Wing Parrots. The most I've counted in the yard at one time is 23 and currently a family of babies has been introduced to our yard. We have feeders to encourage them in, but we try not to have so much food out that they forget how to feed themselves from nature! Red Wings are meant to be shy, but they're reasonably used to us, however they do usually fly away when we get too close. This one decided go stay as I approached and stood there posing for me. I'm sure she was either saying, "bugger off" or "howz this?" I chose to think she was posing for me rather than trying to get me to go away!
Materials used: BoBunny Sun Kissed papers, Bella Glittered Chipboard Alphas, Kaisercraft Mini Alphas, ribbon, Green Tara Flower, Tim Holtz idea-ology paper clip and Adage Ticket, button & bird charm.
Hi, my name is Veronica and I live inland from Cairns in Far North Queensland with my Boxers, Bearded Collies, 1 Standardbred Mare, 1 black alley-cat and several chooks. This menagerie ensures my scrapping style reflect this, although I have a passion for our local wildlife too. My dogs give constant opportunity for scrapping. The only issue is choosing which photos to use! I have now opened my own online scrapbooking store so make sure you pop over for a look and if you have any suggestions on what I should stock, PLEASE let me know!
